Each year, Providence Institute for a Healthier Community (PIHC) conducts a Health and Well-being survey representing the 800,000+ residents in Snohomish County. Our hope is that communities can benefit and act along common well-being metrics across six dimensions of health identified and affirmed by the community, to help guide priorities and programming. PIHC recently released the full 2024 Snohomish Countywide Health and Well-being Survey at the Annual Edge of Amazing Conference, held October 1st at the Delta Marriott in Everett. The report was also highlighted in The Daily Herald on that same day.

This year Snohomish County’s overall wellbeing score trended up for the first time since 2021, and motivation to change also increased slightly. Top impacts on overall well-being included physical health, emotional well-being, a sense of purpose and meaning, and financial security proved to be more of a factor on well-being levels than in year’s past. In addition, feelings of community influence and of community belonging trended down. 39% reported worries abound basic need and the top social needs remained that same; education or training to get the job/income needed; access to healthcare and struggles to pay bills like power and water.  For more information see the full 2024 summary report.
