PIHC Attends Nubian Jam

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett attended the 32nd annual Nubian Jam, hosted by the Snohomish County Black Heritage Committee

Providence Regional Medical Center Everett attended the 32nd annual Nubian Jam, hosted by the Snohomish County Black Heritage Committee, aiming to help members of the African American Community learn how to spot a stroke, what to do if a stroke is suspected, and how to prevent having a stroke. Providence Institute for a Healthier Community (PIHC) shared about www.LiveWellLocal.org – our local resource hub with over 2,400 resources, based in Snohomish County. With the help of our health studies fieldwork student from University of Washington- Bothell, we were able to engage and interact with several folks who attended the event. Our bubbles and hula hoops were a big hit for kids and families. There was live music throughout the event, along with a Nubian Jam History Tent. We are looking forward to attending next year!
