Big congratulations to Providence Everett Caregiver Jana Robison and President Heidi Dawson of The Determined Parents Foundation on a successful, 1st Sky Valley Mental Health Awareness event! The event was held at Monroe’s Sky Valley River Park, Sunday Sept. 18th, with over a hundred folks stopping by. The event had Seattle Seahawks Cheerleaders, a breakdancing competition, games for kids, and a live DJ!
There were over 75 vendors and social services providers offering connections to mental health resources. Providence Institute for a Healthier Community, provided information regarding the Snohomish County Resource Hub LiveWellLocal© with a special emphasis on self-care practices and positive relationships. We had a self-care basket giveaway filled with several goodies including, a self-care journal, box of tea, sleep mask, and positive words of affirmation cards. Angela, with Get My Tablet Now won our self-care basket, woo-hoo!
Again, many thanks to Jana Robison and Heidi Dawson for creating such an incredible event!
