With the warm beautiful weather, several local community organizations came together providing kids and their families a chance to learn about health and wellness, win prizes, and play interactive games. Fun was had by all, including a fun run for kids and families, obstacle courses, a drumming circle, and much more! This event was organized by the Edmonds Parks and Recreation Department and the Edmonds School District and supported by many volunteers.
Providence Institute for a Healthier Community joined in on the action with a hula hoop contest, which was a big hit for all! Health education information about the importance of movement, with the goal of helping people live healthier lives through increased physical activity from the Move Your Way campaign, was provided, and access to the LiveWellLocal.org resource hub was shared.
Thanks to all who helped make this event a great success!
