Kwanzaa Celebration
Ends Jan 1
In of honor Kwanzaa, Providence will be setting up a table at our Colby, Pacific, Mill Creek, and Monroe campuses with a traditional kinara and flyers with more information the history of Kwanzaa and how to celebrate it today. Come and visit one of our tables, take some flyers and bring back to your team to learn and celebrate together.
World Religion Day
Jan. 16th
Nowadays, when it seems like there are more and more examples of divisiveness, strong opinions, and loud voices it can become easy to feel isolated, misunderstood, and underrepresented. World Religion Day hopes to break through that darkness and isolation with a day of light where all can come together and bond over their shared principles of hope, faith, and love.

Diwali Celebration
Nov. 1 – Nov. 5
Diwali is one of the major holidays celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists. Diwali is generally celebrated by lighting a diya (oil lamp), decorating the home in flowers and lanterns, fireworks, prayers, gifts and lots of great food and traditional sweets. Diwali usually last 5 days and this year
will be celebrated November 1st through November 5th.
Hispanic Heritage Month
September-October
September – October is Hispanic Heritage Month. In celebration of all of our Hispanic and Latinx Caregivers, Providence hosted a virtual even and celebration on September 8, 12-1 pst, which will also included Hispanic trivia and information about our Latinx caregiver resource groups.
