Providence Institute for a Healthier Community (PIHC) attended the Edmonds School District Back-To-School Fair, held at Alderwood Middle School. PIHC was on hand offering information for www.LiveWellLocal.org, our resource hub, highlighting parks and recreation activities.
The purpose of the Back-To-School fair is to support families during times of need by providing Edmonds School District students free school supplies. Over 1,600 students were in attendance for picking up supplies and backpacks, while also able to receive health screenings and resources from several community based organizations. Lynnwood Rotary Club was onsite providing a free meal for everyone.
Many thanks to our UW-Bothell fieldwork student, Omar, who helped throughout the event!
