National Night Out

National Night Out is held annually on the First Tuesday of August

Our Providence Regional Medical Center service lines: Trauma Injury Prevention, Providence Institute for a Healthier Community (PIHC), and Providence Intervention Center for Assault and Abuse (PICAA) attended National Night Out, Aug. 6th, held at Willis Tucker Park. National Night Out is a nationwide, youth-centered event that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out is always held on the first Tuesday of August and gives neighbors and public safety providers a chance to get to know one another in a positive environment.

The weather was perfect with several families in attendance. Safety information was shared with the community, including window safety locks and window fall safety. Food trucks were onsite, a helicopter landing, K-9 demo, PUD, fire truck, and live performances to keep folks entertained!
